Dear brothers and sisters Asalaam Alykum,
With the Grace of Allah (SWT) and amazing generosity of Imam Hasan Foundation, Imran Care has been able to offer a special delicacy for nearly 1800 orphans in Afghanistan. Some of these orphans have never tasted such food in their entire lives. The food was Kebabs that we take for granted and is so easily accessible to us here in Australia.
“As per the report presented to us, one child started crying when he saw the Kebab and drink in front of him.”
The food was distributed in the poorest regions in Kabul and Hazarajat provinces. The list of centres that were covered in this round is as follows:
- 400 mostly orphan and very needy kids identified and registered by Imran Care throughout Kabul (Wazir Aabad, Charqala, Qala-e-Fatullah, Taymani, Qala-e-Mussa, Bebi Mahro, Chendawol and surrounding suburbs.
- 200 mostly orphan and very needy kids covered in the Shahrak Etifaq, we are advised that in this region there were some kids who had Kebab for the first time in their lives.
- 150 mostly orphan and very needy kids in Khair Aabad (West of Kabul)
- 200 mostly orphan and very needy kids Dasht-e-Nusrat. Again, we are advised that in this region most of the kids in this region had never tasted Kebab in their lives.
- 170 mostly orphan and very needy kids in the mountains of Chehel Dokhtaran, due to poverty in this region, people are forced to build their homes on the sides of rocky mountain.
- 81 mostly orphan and very needy kids In Yakawlang Bamyan.
- 45 mostly orphan and very needy kids Shahrak Imam Hossein (AS)
- 100 kids from Bibi Zainab Kubra School Bahadul Khan region.
- 120 mostly orphan and very needy kids Welayati and Qalacha region. This region has a small pocket of Shia minority that are surrounded by other faiths.
- 100 mostly orphan and very needy kids in Afgshar Darul-Aman
- 100 Kids from Din-o-Danish school. This school is also supported by His Eminence Ayatullah Sistani.
- 120 mostly orphan and very needy kids accompanied by their mothers or guardians in Khadija Kubra mosque – Qala-e-Chetgar
In total 1786 meals, drinks and gifts were handed out.
Due to some restrictions imposed by the governing authority in Afghanistan, ten centres could not offer the meals that were disappointing to us. Our aim was to offer the food to over 2000 orphans and needy.
We have received 100s of photos showing the joy on the faces of mostly young orphan kids who are deprived of basics.
Your donations and support provided a priceless jou and happiness to those kids and most certainly pleases our Holy Imam Zaman (AS) and Imam Ali (AS).
