Gaza Bakery Project
The aim of this project is to produce fresh bread to distribute to the vulnerable population in Gaza. By establishing a reliable source of essential nutrition, the project aims to alleviate hunger among of tens of thousands of civilians and to combat food insecurity in the region by ensuring all bread loaves are distributed free of charge. However, it is also noteworthy that the project provides benefits on multiple fronts:

1. Providing Food Security: By producing large quantities of bread, the bakery will help to ensure that IDPs and impoverished families have access to basic nutrition. Bread will be distributed to various camps and shelters where food shortages are prevalent.
2. Creating Employment Opportunities: The project also offers job opportunities to individuals. By employing them in the bakeries, we will help them earn an income, thereby supporting their families and contributing to the local economy in the long-term.
3. Sustainable Development: The bakery project is part of a broader effort by the WF-AID to implement sustainable development initiatives that can provide long-term benefits to communities. By teaching bakery skills and business management, the project empowers participants with the tools they need to continue supporting themselves beyond the immediate crisis.

The bakery will be in operation for 16 hours each day, with a projected output of 80,500 loaves of bread daily. This production capacity will enable the bakery to provide food for approximately 16,100 individuals every day, totaling up to 483,000 people each month. The initiative will require a budget of $78,600 a month, covering the costs of raw materials, employee salaries, electricity, fuel, and routine maintenance. This project is poised to not only ensure a consistent food supply but also foster local employment and enhance the overall well-being of the the civilians in Gaza.
